About the artist

Feddow
Claassen

Feddow Claassen (1970) is a visual artist, designer and inventor living and working in The Hague, the Netherlands. Reflections, mirroring and the perception of space form a constant thread through his work.

Playing with light and darkness, visibility and invisibility, he creates objects that challenge how we see the world. His carefully drawn, hand-painted concentric forms draw the eye into an apparent depth.

He trained at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and spent four years in New York working in fashion photography. Back in the Netherlands, he worked in industrial design and on exhibitions for museums in the Netherlands and Belgium before focusing increasingly on his autonomous practice.
